On October 18th, 2025, a small colonist settlement in the territory of the city of Zrenjanin will once again become a gathering place for devotees of underground culture and the finest, predominantly metal sound that this region, including Serbia and the Balkans, has to offer.
The festival organizers announce:
“Lazarus rises for the seventh time from the rustic wastelands of central Banat, in the form of a magical yet poisonous flower which in autumn bears bitter fruits enriched with heavy but noble metals, defying its surroundings, nature, and humanity itself. Its existence is defiant, impossible, and unacceptable from the standpoint of rules carved in stone, holy scriptures and customs, biology and mechanics—yet vital for all of us who transplant it from our imagination into the fertile black soil of Banat. Let it grow! Let it live!”
The festival will take place in the village of Lazarevo, hosting the seventh Lazarus Fest, where this year’s lineup features: legendary Jagodina–Belgrade death/thrash metal aggressors Infest, Pančevo black/thrash/speed goat-worshippers Terrörhammer, Pirot stoner metal/rock pagans Burning Leaf, Pula psychedelic stoner doom worshippers of the unholy My Pitbull Lucifer, Novi Sad metal avant-gardists—the disciples of Mike Patton (aka neopattonists) Plant No More, and the last surviving shipwrecked sailors of Banat hardcore All Except One as local support. In addition, a brand-new music project from Lazarevo will make its public debut under the name Laser Move Kill.
The organizers also announce:
“In order to make things easier for festival-goers from Zrenjanin, as well as those coming from afar and staying overnight in Zrenjanin, we have once again secured safe transport in cooperation with the Tourist Organization of the City of Zrenjanin.

The bus departs for Lazarevo at 7 p.m. from the stop at the beginning of Miletićeva Street (Miletićeva 12, in front of the “Halas” furniture store) and returns immediately after the program ends. Seats are limited.
Entrance to the festival is free. However, our festival survives almost entirely on your and our donations, so there will be a donation box at the entrance, with a recommended minimum donation of 500 RSD.

There will also be a separate donation box at the entrance for students currently in protest. The Lazarus Festival organization wholeheartedly supports the struggle for a fairer and more just society and sees no meaning in its own engagement without supporting student and civic resistance.”
As always, the festival will host its traditional masquerade, where the best costume will win prizes. This year’s theme is free, but preference will be given to those closest to the festival’s slogan: “Transformed. Transcended. Transhumanized.”
